As a department within the Office of Research at Duke-NUS Medical School, the main role of Research Operations Department is to support the school’s research activities by providing the following services:
- Maintain research laboratories and shared research equipment
- Coordinate installation, maintenance, and training for new equipment
- Ensure that research needs are gathered and clarified during repairs and renovation; coordinate with relevant departments and stakeholders for proper and timely completion
- Establish and manage operations of research core services; advise and review costing of research services
- Advise on research space allocation and usage
- Provide 24/7 monitoring of critical research equipment; plan and execute business continuity measures
- Manage research spaces leases
